Instagram's parent company, Meta Platforms, has announced a new feature called AI Studio, which will allow users with professional accounts to create their AI-powered chatbots and integrate them into their profiles. This move is part of Meta's effort to engage creators and further integrate its artificial intelligence technology into its popular consumer products.

The AI Studio feature will enable creators to develop a custom chatbot that is an "extension of themselves," capable of answering common questions from their fans or followers. Users will have the ability to specify the types of questions their bot should answer and the topics it should avoid.

In addition to the creator-focused AI chatbots, the broader Instagram community will also be able to create themed chatbots for their profiles, such as those focused on mixed martial arts, dining, or pets.

Both of these features are set to roll out more widely in the coming weeks, coinciding with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg's appearance alongside Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang at the ACM SIGGRAPH conference in Denver this week.

Meta has been heavily investing in AI in recent years, and Zuckerberg has expressed his expectation that the company will develop some of the world's best chatbots. The company already offers its own AI chatbot, called Meta AI, within its platforms, including Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook.

Earlier this month, Meta released a new large language model, the technology that powers chatbots, which can solve complex math problems, analyze entire books instantly, and even generate new images based on text prompts.
