Facebook is implementing significant updates to its storage policy for Facebook Live videos, urging users to take action before the upcoming deadlines. As part of this initiative, the platform will begin automatically deleting live videos that are older than 30 days, starting February 19.

In an email sent to users who have previously broadcasted live videos, Facebook announced that live broadcasts will be retained for just 30 days by default on both personal profiles and Pages. During this period, users will have the ability to replay, delete, or download their videos. However, once the 30-day window has closed, the videos will be permanently removed from users' profiles and deleted from Facebook's servers.

To assist users in preserving their content, Facebook has provided a grace period for existing live videos published before February 19. Users are encouraged to download these older videos by June 25, ensuring they do not lose any valuable content.

For more information on how to download your videos, Facebook has included a link in the announcement email. This change marks a shift in how Facebook manages video content, reflecting a broader trend towards more streamlined storage practices.

Users are encouraged to act swiftly to save their broadcasts and keep their cherished memories intact.
